In a two-year project, the partial estate of Joseph Joachim was catalogued and digitized. This was made possible by the HERMANN REEMTSMA STIFTUNG, which funded the project generously as part of the funding program Kunst auf Lager (Art in Storage).
Under the direction of institute director Wolfgang Sandberger, Fabian Bergener catalogued the valuable materials and transcribed the 900 letters to his brother. He was supported by a volunteer, Volker Schmitz.
Since March 2018, the transcriptions of the family letters and all digitized material has been accessible to the general public via the website.
